DEKALB, ILL, April 1, 2021 – Stage Coach Players (SCP) continues to “Join Together” with the local community this season as they ask for your help in collecting food for and household items giving away fabric if you are looking to create your own masks. With the weather warming, the Stage Coach Players COVID-19 Task Force will be collecting items every Tuesday starting this week on April 6, 2021. It will run from 4 to 6 p.m. and be held in the theatre’s back parking lot. The address is 126 S. 5th Street in DeKalb.
This week’s food donations will be going to the DeKalb area Salvation Army. While they will certainly accept boxed and canned non-perishable food items, the Salvation Army is currently in greater need of toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, bars of soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes.
In addition, SCP continues its partnership with Humans For Hope. They are dedicated to advocating and assisting our friends in transition and living on the streets. Their focus is love, community, self-healing, assistance, community education to help in breaking stigmas and more. SCP will be collecting monetary donations for them along with hygiene items, new or cleaned used clothing, blankets.
