DEKALB, ILL, November 22, 2021 – Stage Coach Players (SCP) is collecting toys for the giving tree sponsored in conjunction with the DeKalb Salvation Army. Additionally, SCP is working with the DeKalb Family Service Agency (FSA) to collect gifts for those ages 55 and older serviced by FSA. Each tag has suggested gifts listed. To donate, please bring items to Stage Coach Players’ Theatre located at 126 S. 5th Street in DeKalb. The distribution of tags and collection of gifts will take place on three consecutive Saturdays, Nov. 27 and Dec. 4 and 11, 2021, from 10 a.m. to noon.
As families in our DeKalb County community have trouble putting food on their tables, many children and adults may also go this holiday season without holiday gifts. To lend a hand, all you need to do is stop by Stage Coach Players’ Theatre, take a tag and then return the tag with a gift.
“There is so much need in the area right now, especially as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic,” SCP president Angela Schiola-Niemeyer said. “This is the season of giving, and the community has given so much to Stage Coach Players this year as we’ve opened our theatre back up, it is something that we feel strongly about giving back.”
The SCP Outreach Committee will be in the back of the theatre to welcome and thank you for your donations. We ask that you wear a mask when picking up or dropping off to keep our volunteers and patrons safe.
