Spring has Sprung, and Stage Coach Players Continues to Join Together with Local Food Pantries to Help Those in Need

DEKALB, ILL, April 8, 2021 – Stage Coach Players (SCP) continues to “Join Together” with the local community this season as they ask for your help in collecting food and household items for local food banks while giving away fabric if you are looking to create your own masks.  Stage Coach Players COVID-19 Task Force will be collecting items every Tuesday this spring.  It will run from 4 to 6 p.m. and be held in the theatre’s back parking lot.  The address is 126 S. 5th Street in DeKalb.

This week’s food donations will be going to the N. I. C. E. Center Food Pantry located in Lee, Illinois.  The N. I. C. E. Center was organized in 1987 to provide free food and clothing to individuals and families in need of assistance.  SCP will be accepting boxed, canned, and plastic containers with non-perishable food items.  Please no glass containers.

Additionally, SCP continues its partnership with Humans For Hope.  They are dedicated to advocating and assisting our friends in transition and living on the streets.  Their focus is love, community, self-healing, assistance, community education to help in breaking stigmas and more.  SCP will be collecting monetary donations for them along with hygiene items, new or cleaned used clothing, blankets.  To learn more about Humans For Hope or to donate directly to them, visit their Facebook page, www.facebook.com/humansforhopechicago/.  Click on the link to their Go Fund Me Page.
