Stage Coach Players is holding video auditions the role of Anthony Hope in “Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.”

The character of Anthony Hope is that of a naive and youthful sailor returning to London who helps Todd return to London. Hope unexpectedly falls in love with Johanna. He is idealistic – not yet corrupted by the world – and romantic. He believes people are mostly good at heart and is the model English hero who, in reality, is powerless to achieve the perfect world. He quickly surrenders to feelings of “true love.”

The role is for a male, age 18- to 40-years-old tenor with a vocal range of C3 to F#4 who can speak and sing with a believable English accent. No dancing is required.
