DEKALB, ILL, July 28, 2021 – Stage Coach Players (SCP) announces auditions for its holiday production of Elf The Musical.  The musical, based on the beloved 2003 film is guaranteed to make you smile so why not audition for a role that will help others find their smiles this December.

Elf The Musical will be directed by Jan Kuntz.  Auditions will take place Saturday and Sunday, August 14 and August 15, 2021 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. and on Monday, August 16, 2021 from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m..  Auditions will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Church located at 511 Russell Road in DeKalb.  If necessary, callbacks will be Tuesday, August 17, 2021. 

Needed are men and women and kids ages 8 – 80.  Please prepare a Christmas song of 24 measures to sing and bring sheet music.  Be prepared to dance and possibly do a cold reading from the play.  You may be asked to sing a song from the show so if possible, familiarize yourself with the music from the show.  Current CDC guidelines will be followed.  Those who are not vaccinated will be asked to wear a mask. 

Performances for Elf The Musical will be held at the historic Egyptian Theatre in DeKalb during the second weekend in December.
